Ok guys, I dislike raw tomatoes or the idea of tomatoes in any drink. I am so glad I gave this juice a try. Replaced salt with lime because my fibrocystic breasts are very painful and omitting salt helps a bit. This juice is not bad at all, I can see myself making it again. Thanks for the recipe.

Why is it better to juice than to just blend the entire vegetables?

Hi Stacey, juices, and smoothies both play an important role in a healthy diet, and both have their benefits. An easy way to think of the difference is that juicing is more like a supplement (a quick, concentrated form of nutrients that is easily digested in liquid form) while smoothies are more like a whole food (essentially a "liquid meal" that includes fiber, takes longer for your body to digest and won't be concentrated).
