FMTV - The Invocation

The Invocation

Runtime: 90m 56s | Release date: 2010

The Invocation is an exploration of the notion of God and a call for global harmony through the foundations of religion, spirituality, history, science, politics and art. It is an invitation to elevate our school of thought and to change the code of human interaction in relation to our perceptions of God. The film proposes answers to universal questions in both a religious and non-religious context. Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going? Is there something beyond the here and now? What is the global idea of ‘God’ which has presented us with countless conflicts throughout human history? How can we live in peace?

The project was filmed around the world by a team of talented religious and non-religious filmmaker,s and challenges us to go beyond our differences in seeking the common goal of world peace. Without an agenda, the film presents a message of global understanding, unity, and humanity. Featuring interviews with respected social and political limelights, spiritual leaders, artists, entertainers and other influential figures, The Invocation is a truly inspiring source of information that compels you to "be the change you want to see in the world."

Thanks for bringing this to FMTV. Very inspirational to hear the wisdom from people worldwide. Yes we are all connected and we are spiritual beings and more people need to wake up and help others so they may know too.

Ehhhh. I love FMTV and the movies offered, but this one was weak. I love the message that they were going for, but the execution was abysmal. A puppet, weak interviewees and showing how horrible religion often is was not the best way to try and demonstrate a unifying field of love, in my opinion. I hope others find it more appealing. Thank you for all you do for me FMTV.

Very good film. The only disappointing, and contrary to the topic of God, was that a representative of the "church of satan" was interviewed. Otherwise, I think this film has an excellent message and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing other nationalities, etc discuss their belief in God as well as peace :).

I like the way various religions are portrayed as valid and well-meaning. I hope the people of the world can eventually come to the realization that we are all one, as this movie explains quite well. Thank you!
