FMTV - Psyched Out

Psyched Out

Runtime: 84m 47s | Release date: 2018

A documentary exploring plant medicines and psychedelics, some of these plants and substances have been used for thousands of years as a healing modality and tool for spiritual connection.

After having a life-changing experience himself, Giovanni Bartolomeo sets out to speak with a wide spectrum of people including other psychedelic explorers, experts, doctors, facilitators, recovering addicts, and more in search of the truth.

On the journey, the questions started to mount, and the findings were not exactly what he was expecting.

Used for thousands of years as a healing modality and tool for spiritual connection, could this be the solution to many of the current physical and emotional ailments we as humans are suffering from today? Are we currently experiencing a psychedelic deficiency? Had we been 'psyched out' on their true nature and purpose?

I started watching this movie and after 5 minutes , I almost turned it off, but I stuck with it and I am so glad I did. I had preconceived ideas about the topic but decide to keep watching anyway, it took me for a loop! a great one! Excellent documentary, well researched ! make you think with an open mind! great eye opener! The sky the limit! Thank you for making this documentary and sharing your findings, great job in doing so! Very inspiring to see how people not being able to find true help while living hell on earth, were able to be liberated and set free at last! So much potential right in front of our eyes.
A miracle, God's hands are always at work, keep faith! Wake up and smell the roses! Thank you.

Wow! Very interesting and eye-opening. I can totally see how these plants can help heal both mentally and physically. Definitely something that should be studied more.

The content of this documentary was excellent.

However, I found it challenging to read the quote at the beginning of each section while the next person was already speaking about something else. I felt like I could either read the quote or listen to what the speaker was talking about. Of course, there was the option of reading the quote, going back, then starting again to catch all the speaker was saying. That was more time consuming.

This is why I love FMTV! It is amazing that an older very conservatively raised person like myself can come across a documentary like this and have my mind opened up to the use of psychedelics to help people in profound ways. Thank you for this mind changing experience!

I’m fascinated with this topic, I thought it was a great presentation and thought provoking doc, I do think though that as said in the film , plant medicine is not for everyone, and their can be some really scary dark experiences that people may not cope with and it is essential for professional guidance with help near by. Some great history of plant medicine through our ages that really makes sense and also the biblical references are fascinating , I would love to ask my priest their thoughts on that !
