FMTV - Our Daily Dose

Our Daily Dose

Runtime: 20m 07s | Release date: 2015

Hailed by the Centers for Disease Control as one of the top ten public health achievements of the 20th century, water fluoridation is something most of us assume to be safe and effective. But new science has upended this assumption, revealing that fluoride is a developmental neurotoxin and an endocrine disruptor. The CDC tells us that drinking fluoride decreases tooth decay, at best, by 25%. That is one-half to one cavity per person over a lifetime. Is one less cavity worth risking a child's long-term brain and thyroid health? It's time to rethink this very old practice.

In Our Daily Dose, filmmaker Jeremy Seifert lays out the dangers of water fluoridation informatively and creatively, highlighting the most current research and interviewing top-tier doctors, activists, and attorneys close to the issue. Through thoughtful examination of old beliefs and new science, the film alerts us to the health threat present in the water and beverages we rely on every day. This is an eye-opening look at how we have less control over our health than we may have thought.

Dr. Gerald L. Durley

Very interesting but mostly seems to be talking about the US. Would be useful to understand the risks of Fluoride use in other ways in other countries too.

This is very eye opening! I had no idea it was even in soup we eat! I'm thankful my friend told me about the dangers of Floride a few years ago and I stopped getting the bottle water delivered that had Floride added. What's the best way that I can warn my friends (esp the ones with kids) about this?

So very disappointing that we know better and we choose to still poison our most innocent. People need to know the truth, at the very least be given the information so they may make an informed choice. I have for years been talking about the use of fluoride and people look at me like I have a third eye. One of my daughters was diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism at age 8... 8!!! How does that happen? And their reasons around running the original tests for diagnosis was based on measurements that she came into this world with! So angry and frustrated with their words and now adding salt to the wound, I was not aware enough to make better choices for myself prior to conception. It is really hard not to feel like a failure as a parent when you learn that what you thought was the right way to care for yourself turns out might be the significant reason for your child to now carry a life long health consequence.

The people who know better, have the power to change it and still allow it to go on are shameful. May God bless their souls and give them the courage to stand.

What a great movie but alarming!!
Here in Bermuda we drink collected rain water from tanks so the schools give the children fluoride tablets daily. I gather I should be asking the school to stop giving the tablets to my children?

What a disturbing film! Why with so much prove it is so difficult to make changes to protect our health! I guess, as always, corruption is behind all of this. Thanks for the information, very powerful film!
