are they talking Bovine butter ? cause no, Bovine butter requires animals to die in order for it to be made, so just NO

With all due respect sir; for life to be sustained, life must be sacrificed. Be we vegan or carnivore, life sustains life - something must die for us to live (be it plant or any other form of life). Regardless of our ethics or beliefs, they have nothing to do with the truth and the reality the universe and we have evolved to be throughout time.
