FMTV - Finding Joe

Finding Joe

Runtime: 80m 01s | Release date: 2011

This film features: Deepak Chopra.

Finding Joe is an inspiring film about living your purpose, discovering your true self and seeing new possibilities for your life.

In the early 20th century, while studying world mythology, Joseph Campbell discovered a pattern in every hero's story. He called it "the hero's journey". Through interviews with visionaries from a variety of fields interwoven with enactments of classic tales, Finding Joe navigates the different stages of The Hero's Journey and the return home as a changed person.

The film takes us on an inspirational quest of self-discovery. As you slay dragons and uncover treasures, you just may find that the holy grail you seek is closer than you think. Rooted in deeply personal accounts and timeless stories, Finding Joe provides a narrative for how to live a fully realized life - or as Joseph Campbell would simply say, how to "follow your bliss".

I'm enjoying it - but 38 mins in so far, not one woman yet. I know there are women in the world who have transcended suffering and know about myths. It would help me to identify and relate, if there was some feminine element.

Well done. Going to be sure my children see this film. But for me, it's time to go sing like a bird.

One of the best films I've seen in a long time. I wish I have seen this before, but there is still time to go and sleigh my inner dragon.

Wonderful film. After years of put downs and following someone else's path i can now relate to this film. It took a month in the Himalayas with a positive bunch of people I didn't know, for me to step onto my path towards my bliss.....and not feel selfish.
