I love that you use avocados in the icing! Recently started blending them into smoothie bowls instead of bananas. So light and airy and absolutely delicious!

How can I replace eggs in the recipe? Will flax meal work? I’m worried it may be too dry?

Hello Lily, yes, you may use flax meal or mashed bananas. For more alternatives, head here https://www.foodmatters.com/article/easy-egg-substitutions-a-how-to-guide :) ~ Pauline

Try this.... 1 egg = 1TBL flax seeds + 3 TBL water.... mix it and wait approx 10 mins till it starts to become a gel like consistency. Then add like normal as if they were eggs.

Do you think this cake would work if I swapped the spelt flour for almond meal?

It could... It might be denser. Let me know if you try... I'm interest to know.
