Hi cynthia I tried making this tonight in my Thermo mix.. I used natural almonds without roasting them.. I was trying to cheat for time? Does it make a difference? The mixture doesn’t seem to be turning into a butter it’s just a hot mess something between meal and butter.. I have made lots of other recipes and loved them.. thanking for making life as a vegan easy...

Almond butter using raw almonds is hard. You have to add oil a tablespoon at a time, almond oil or a neutral oil...

I made it! I made it !!!! OMG It turned out creamy, flavorful and absolutely delicious!!!!!!!! I had it with bananas this morning and now every time I go to the kitchen I get a spoonful ....I predict the almond butter is going to be gone by the end of the day. One small change, I used a food processor instead of the high speed blender.
Just wanted to thank you for another GREAT recipe!!!!

What about soaking the nuts first. James Colquhoun did a segment on activating nuts by soaking them. This breaks down the phytic acid or enzyme inhibitors which inhibit our ability to digest the nuts.
