Hi Donna! We haven't tried this yet but you may try using fresh coconut milk which is different from fresh coconut water. If you do, you may need to add a thickener since fresh coconut milk can be quite thin compared to using the cream out of tinned milk. Let us know how it turns out :) ~ Jasmin

hi jas..i used fresh coconut , but i had it chilled for 3 hours. .i dont like the taste of the canned coconut, it does not taste coconut anymore.

can you puree a fruit to mix it in afterward or would it be better to add it prior to fermentation?

Hi Karen, the fruit should be added prior to fermentation as the natural sugar in the fruit ferment during the fermentation process :) Happy fermenting! ~ Iris

Hi Elizabeth, I so want to make this but I'm struggling to find a decent coconut milk here in the UK without any nasties in I've found one with these ingredients in would this be ok to use ...Coconut meat extract, Water, Stabiliser
Which brand do you use and what's in it ??
