The Food Matters 7 Day Juice Cleanse

9 Modules | 25 Videos | 1 Resource

Are you ready to transform your health with a nourishing 7-day juice & broth cleanse?

Giving the body a rest from solid foods & nurturing it with nutrient-dense juice & broths is an incredible way to hit the reset button on your health. Not only does it give the digestive system time to rest, but it allows the liver to focus on detoxifying unwanted toxins from the body. This has incredible flow on effects in the body including weight loss, clearer skin, more energy, & balanced hormones.

What’s Included?

  1. Fully guided 7-day juice cleanse program.
  2. Downloadable print-ready shopping list, meal plans, & cleanse information.

Why detox?

In the modern world, we are exposed to an unprecedented amount of toxins on a daily basis - toxins are present in our food supply, cleaning products, beauty products, and in the environment. This level of exposure is concerning as our bodies key detox organ, the liver, is constantly working and simply doesn’t have the capacity to process the amount of toxins coming in. When you combine this with long-term excessive caffeine, alcohol, trans fat intake, and a lack of nutrients, it becomes a perfect storm for weight gain and may lead to other chronic health conditions.

When the liver is unable to process incoming toxins, they are reabsorbed back into the bloodstream. This has a huge impact on the body given that so many environmental toxins are what is known as ‘endocrine-disruptors’, which mimic hormones and promote weight gain and, furthermore, many of these chemicals are carcinogenic, meaning they can contribute to cancer. Our body is an integrative system and an overwhelmed liver places a heavy burden on the whole body. This week, we’re going to focus on giving the liver lots of love to flush the built up toxins out of the body.

Hi there, I have a few questions:
- only juice and broth allowed right? No salad or fruit?
-can one only have one juice for breakfast , one for lunch and broth for dinner? Only 3 juices the whole day? Or am I missing something😉

Hi Monique! Here's how a day on the program would look like: Morning: Vegetable Juice, Mid-Morning: Vegetable Juice, Lunch: Vegetable Juice, Mid-Afternoon: Vegetable Juice, Dinner: Nourishing Detox Broth. As always, this is just a guide and if you feel you need a little more, feel free to adjust the portion sizes of the juices and broth. We'd recommend checking the handbook from the Resources section, for more information about this cleanse. Feel free to comment anytime and all the best to you! ~ Jasmin@FMTV ❤

The idea of this program is to add at least 1 glass of juice in your daily healthy diet Monique, that means you can still eat your daily healthy meal ~ Ivory@FMTV

I am considering doing this cleanse and have a bunch of bone broth made in my freezer. Can I use this instead of making new veggie broth?
I also am using purchased organic juices as i do not have a juicer yet. Any thoughts? I know fresh is best but I am in WI and most veggies are not fresh anymore anyway:)

Hello Michelle, although we recommend sticking to the program to reap the full benefits you can use purchased "organic" juices. You can also add in a little fresh lemon juice to help slow down the oxidation. Additionally, you can also use a bone broth. The idea is to get liquid nutrition with very little digestive load ~ Ivory@FMTV

I'm on day 2. I'm feeling alright, but my face seems to be tight, dry and puffy around my eyes. Is this normal?

Hi Amanda, your body is going through a process of purifying itself and getting rid of toxins, this can cause a range of short-term symptoms. Make sure that you drink plenty of water and keep hydrated - this should help promote the excretion of toxins. If you can hang in there, it should pass and you will be left feeling amazing with plenty of energy. However, if the symptoms persist, I would recommend checking this with your health care provider for a one on one health advise ~ Ivory@FMTV

Hi Pooja! Celery makes for a great fresh substitute as well as bok choy stems. Although we recommend adding superfood green powder, this is optional. And if you opt to try it, this is readily available in your local health shops and there are lots of options when choosing a green superfood powder, just make sure it's organically grown. Happy cleansing! ~ Jasmin@FMTV
