Why detox?

In the modern world, we are exposed to an unprecedented amount of toxins on a daily basis - toxins are present in our food supply, cleaning products, beauty products, and in the environment. This level of exposure is concerning as our bodies key detox organ, the liver, is constantly working and simply doesn’t have the capacity to process the amount of toxins coming in. When you combine this with long-term excessive caffeine, alcohol, trans fat intake, and a lack of nutrients, it becomes a perfect storm for weight gain and may lead to other chronic health conditions. 

When the liver is unable to process incoming toxins, they are reabsorbed back into the bloodstream. This has a huge impact on the body given that so many environmental toxins are what is known as ‘endocrine-disruptors’, which mimic hormones and promote weight gain and, furthermore, many of these chemicals are carcinogenic, meaning they can contribute to cancer. Our body is an integrative system and an overwhelmed liver places a heavy burden on the whole body. Hi
Myself & my Wife are looking to do this juice cleanse shortly and I just have a question about quantities. I weigh about 110kg but my Wife weighs about 60kg so not sure if we should both take the same quantities or whether we should make an allowance for our weights? Any advice much appreciated :-)

Hi Austin, here's how a day on the program would look like: Morning: Vegetable Juice, Mid-Morning: Vegetable Juice, Lunch: Vegetable Juice, Mid-Afternoon: Vegetable Juice, Dinner: Nourishing Detox Broth. We suggest following the program to reap the full benefits of this juice cleanse, however, if you feel you need a little more, please feel free to adjust the portion sizes of the juices and broth :-) I would suggest downloading the 7 Day Juice Cleanse Workbook, which you can find from the Resources section, for a more detailed information about this cleanse.
